Our 7ft Olympic Barbells have been designed for Athletes who train or compete in a multitude of disciplines such as Powerlifting, CrossFit and Strongman.

With design input from King Heavy founders Ali and Mike (who have over 25 years of combined experience over a range of disciplines) these Barbells are offered as a true “top of the range” piece of equipment with specifications to match (or exceed) brands such as Rogue, Primal Strength, Cerberus Strength and BLKBOX.

In addition to this, before shipping, every Barbell is visually and physically inspected for quality including-

• Overall finish and presentation of the Barbell
• Check for correct needle bearing operation: Silent and Smooth

Due to the nature of Ali and Mike’s professions and training environments, our Olympic Barbells have been tried and tested by some very heavy-handed individuals in high use, high weight gyms (who are also professionals at destruction/breaking things) such as Firefighters and Royal Marines Commandos. All our Barbells in these facilities are showing no signs of damage, wear or bending which is testament to the quality of our Bars.

Our Atlas Stones are not just made by chucking a load of homemade concrete into a mold and hoping whatever comes out is up to scratch.
There is a process;

• consultation with concrete engineers (who have provided us with a concrete mix + additives that best suit the nature of use of Atlas Stones),
• the preparation of the molds,
• the meticulous measuring of of materials to ensure the mix is correct,
• the correct application of vibration to reduce air bubbles
• the initial “clean up” of the Atlas Stone once it leaves the mold
• the 7 day submerged curing
• the diamond polishing
• the application of the stone’s weight and “King Heavy” wording
• the sealing
• the sealing (again)
  
  

We like to think of our Atlas Stones as not simply concrete balls, but world class pieces of exercise/strongman equipment that brings out a truly primal feeling when seeing or lifting them.

Like the Scottish Lifting Stones, or Husafell Stone (granted they have a 2-3 Billion year head start) how we make these Stones means that they’re strong enough to survive being dropped 1000’s of times, sitting outside in all weathers, being rolled, being washed, being painted and still go on way past any human lifetime.
